Direct/Merit Mode- At least 60% marks in the aggregate of the B.A. Economics (Hons) of the University of Delhi.
Entrance Test Mode- At least 60% or First Division or equivalent CGPA in any Graduate/Post-graduate degree in any subject from the University of Delhi or any Indian University recognized by the University of Delhi.
However, the minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test will be 40% (General category), 36% (OBC category), and 20% (SC/ST category).
50% seats are reserved for B.A. Economics (Hons) graduates from the University of Delhi, their admission will be done based on merit/marks.
The remaining 50% of seats will be filled through the Delhi university direct entrance exam called DUET.
Salary packages of DSE range from INR 7 LPA- INR 22 LPA, with an average of about INR 11 LPA in 2020. Apart from placements, DSE students are admitted into some of the best Ph.D. programs around the world.
